Meet Your mentor!
Nica Cosio is an arts and crafts mentor with over 10 years of teaching children, teens and adults in both group workshops and one-on-one settings. Her workshops, which revolve around collage, printmaking, creative journaling and paper crafts, have been conducted in collaboration with different educational platforms, cultural organizations, and community programs. As a homeschooling mom of three and someone who was homeschooled from an early age herself, she believes in self-directed learning and in the importance of adapting lessons to different learning styles and developmental stages. She currently runs a collaborative co-working studio with her husband called Honeycomb Manila where they also organize community-building events. In her free time, her favorite things to do are go on nature walks, visit cafes to journal and get lost in a good book.
Special dates for this block!
March 20 - SaLaro Staycations in QC
Lots of indoor playtime with card games and board games, videoke, dancing, maybe even some crafting and cooking, but more than anything, lots of hanging out with friends.
This is from 1-6pm.
April 6 - Private resort in AFPOVAI, Taguig
This isn't your ordinary SDL meet-up. It's also the day we celebrate Abot Tala's 7th birthday, so we hope you can join this one!
The private resort we've rented has a pool, volleyball and badminton court, a billiards table, a dart board, and more! It's gonna be a super fun day because this SDL is open to the whole Abot Tala community - Abot Tala teens and parents included.
This is from 2pm until 9pm. Feel free to arrive later or leave earlier. Totally up to you, as always!
April 24 - Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, QC
At this SDL, there'll be lots of activities to choose from. From nature journaling to sketching, reading and writing, and whatever else our community comes up with while we're there!
A guided nature walk is also available for those who haven't done it before.
This is from 9am-3pm. This event is a joint SDL with Abot Tala Teens.
These activities and events are completely optional, but open to all members! Please note that there are separate fees for in-person activities and events.
